mike mcsuede (wagon repair) was gracious enough to have elaine and i stop by the other night to take some shots of the place, listen to records and talk a bit more about his party at open studios on the 19th. i met mike about a month ago, he opened and closed for cobblestone jazz when they came through vancouver and i've been after him for a mix ever since.
he had just received a shipment from vinyl distributor word and sound and was spending the night sorting through his new records. it's a rare scene, but one can't help appreciate the warmth of analog minimal techno once you're listening to it again.
mike is close with the folks over at liebe detail and is flying label rep (and friend) eurokai out from hamburg to hopefully enjoy a bit of sun and play for us next saturday. mike was happy to send a mix my way in the meantime. if you can't make it out on on the weekend, you'll be able to catch him the following thursday, opening for get physical founders booka shade!
