Dubtech masterminds Bluetech (Native State Records) and Pitch Black have started making up their way up the west coast for their “Black and Blue” tour this fall.
Evan Marc (Bluetech) has had an admirable discography thus far. Releases on Aleph Zero, Thoughtless Music, Somnia and his own label Native State Records have given him plenty of international recognition.
The New Zealand duo Pitch Black have been pushing the dub envelope. Paddy Free and Michael Hodgson have a had a history working with KOG Transmissions since 1999. Their latest full length LP, “Electronomicon” is available through Dubmission Records.
Both these acts have incredible range, so you’re going to want to make an effort to catch them live. It’s a brief tour, but fans can soon look forward to a collaborative album that will hopefully extend the experience.
